Sambhar Masala
Sadabahar's Sambhar Masala is an enlivening blend of special spice mix , and is a quintessential ingredient for the preparation of the South Indian stew 'Sambhar' made with lentils+vegetables+tamarind. Sambhar, the most sought accompaniment with crispy dosa,fluffy idlis,uttapam, medu wada, upma or rice is certainly going to make into your list of comfort foods.
Directions for Use
Wash and pressure cook Toor Dal with salt and turmeric powder. In the cooked dal add diced onions, tomatoes, drumsticks, pumpkin (or any vegetables of your choice) and Sadabahar Sambhar Masala and cook till vegetables are soft. Now add tamarind water and boil for 5 minutes. Prepare the tempering by adding mustard seeds, whole cumin, curry leaves and red chilly powder and add it to your sambhar and boil for a couple of more minutes. Sambhar is ready to be served !
Ingredients
Cumin, Coriander, Red chilly, Black Pepper, Fenugreek Seeds, Skinless Split Black gram, Star Anise, Asafoetida.
Storage Conditions :
- Keep in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Once opened, transfer the contents to an airtight container.
- Use a dry spoon.
